About me

Hi there! Welcome to my portfolio.

I'm Bryce Ghaphery, a full-stack software engineer from Wheeling, WV. This is my portfolio page which I coded during my sabbatical. Here, I will showcase some of my work.

Much of my production work is hidden behind paywalls across various SaaS platforms. Thus, most, if not all, of the work on this portfolio was coded for educational purposes.

I'm currently available for full-time positions and freelance projects. If my work interests you, I can be contacted using the form below. Additionally, I've provided my cell phone number and email address in the footer.

Natours Natours

Natours is the product of a course I took on advanced CSS and Sass. It is a landing page for a fictional, nature-oriented tour company. The design of the site is modern and utilizes a variety of arcane CSS properties. I'm very excited to be able to include it here.

Omnifood Omnifood

Omnifood is a landing page for a fictional food platform that I coded as part of a course on HTML and CSS. The original Omnifood landing page was my very first coding project. This version of the landing page is an updated version that I coded when revisiting the course.

Budget app Budget

This budget app was inspired by a similar app coded as part of a course I took on JavaScript. A major difference between the course's app and mine, though, is that my app utilizes Vue. Please note that there is validation to ensure that 0 < value <= 10,000. Additionally, please note that this app is intended for desktop users. This is because of the hover effect on the budget items.

Weather app Weather

This app was coded as part of a course on Node.js. It is a small application demonstrating HTTP requests from the frontend. The app accepts an address (e.g. Wheeling, WV) and produces the weather forecast for the address provided. Please note that this app utilizes a weather API with a relatively limited number of monthly requests. Thus, it's practically possible to reach the monthly API limit. Also, the app was not explicitly made responsive.

Trillo Trillo

This is the second installment of a course I took on advanced CSS and Sass. It focuses on using CSS flexbox. Naturally, almost all the elements on the page are displayed in flex containers. This made media queries very easy for this project. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed coding it!

Natours Nexter

This is the third and final installment of a course I took on advanced CSS and Sass. This project focuses primarily on CSS grid. It utilizes the grid technology across the entire project. At times, we even use grid where flexbox would substitute just as well. It was a fun project to code. Enjoy!
